I just got a MacBook Pro after my Gateway laptop broke. I'm used to playing sims for windows and I know it definitely has its issues and minor annoyances (glitches, freezing, etc) I'm asking people who have played on both platforms, does the Mac version have any noticeable issues? Or is it mostly the same? Or are is there no difference and I'm just assuming too much? Any help would be great!
Download The Sims 4 Mac
Also, I have the base game and a few EPs on origin, but the rest I downloaded from games4theworld.org, how will that work? Exactly the same? Will I be able to access the games from origin? Because I purchased the windows version it won't work, correct? Thank you in advance for your help! I have played both and I've had no problems in either operating system.
My mac is lower spec than my PC so it's a bit slower but that's it. I think it's very much a case of install it and see. If it runs on my 2010 MacBook it should run on your new one!
I don't have origin so I can't help there, but if you download expansions elsewhere without paying you will need a NoCD. NRaas has a wonderful one that works with all expansions, just make sure you get the one that matches your patch level. You'll need to make a packages folder in a mods folder in user/documents/Sims 3 if I remember correctly and mods go in 'packages' Hope this helps!
